There and Back Again and There Again

Well, after a long week+, I'm back in NYC.

Anyway, I'll get to be back almost a full two days before leaving first thing tomorrow morning to deliver my grandfather's cat to Texas. I can't get over how inherently ridiculous this plan is (Spot, declares Poppop, will be unhappy on a plane; obviously, she'll be much happier spending two+ days in a car while I drive 1700 miles). She's luckier than Jonie; the dog will have to be in the car for the return trip, too.

Zebulon Z, a Golden Age Story

Considering that my journal is entitled "Writing and Stuff," I do feel that I really should post writing from time to time. With that in mind, here's the introduction (prologue? first chapter? something like that) to my current secondary project - but first, some background.

A lot of people were involved in this game; so many that there are people who played who didn't once play at the same time as me! However, for the purpose of this story introduction, only three matter for now: I played Enigma (Marie Johnson); xaniquen, who never reads LJ cause he's a jerk ( ;) ), played the Scout (John Smith); and deadmanwade played Doc Hollywood (Hollywood Holmes). Ah, fun times!
