Jurassic Park?

Scientists begin to discuss realistic possibilities of using DNA of extinct animals to produce living ones - not Jurassic Park, actually, in that after 60,000 years DNA is too degraded to be analyzed with enough specificity...but woolly mammoths and many recently extinct animals like dodos may actually be replicable!

Heh, cool.

Me versus the Landlords, Part 2

Well, the first apartment attempt fell through; apparently my dog is horribly offensive. However, even as that failed, I got good news: the apartments in the very first building I had visited had fallen dramatically in price in the last week and change - from almost $1600 to exactly $1300. I had really liked these apartments, and so I went and took a look again today, and now I've put in an application. All in all, I like these better in almost every way - better location, nicer apartment, nicer building, safer neighborhood, better train station, only slightly higher price. I sacrifice the view I liked so much, but otherwise I think I win. Anyway, here it is on the map.
