Excellent. He's a smart and charismatic guy - if he gets the nom, it should make the debates more interesting than they were last time, especially if McCain picks up the Republican nomination.
Yeah. I was sort of hoping he wouldn't run, I fear that he's too inexperienced, and so might blow his chances at EVER being president now, when, if he'd waited a few more years, he could have been an even better candidate.
I'm just wondering what Edwards is gonna do...will he go for Obama or Clinton's VP position? Or will he throw in as a candidate also?
It's amazing, there may be a political race I actually give a damn about coming up.
omg Edwards is so useless. I wouldn't expect to see him on a ticket. I imagine that he'll throw down, but he's not going to get many (if any) votes at the national convention. I'm just so glad that Kerry is out. Theresa Heinz makes me want to smackabitch. And he was such a moron. Those debates between Kerry and Bush were like an incredibly painful political satire of Dumb and Dumber.
I agree with you re: Obama's experience. I think he would have been better off running as the VP on the Clinton ticket and then running for the presidency in the next election, or two from now (if she should get elected, which I don't think will happen, unfortunately).
Rice is the frontrunner for the Republicans right now. It would be damn interesting to see Rice and Obama going at it in debates - they're both essentially academics, not politicians. It could be a very intense series of debates.
