Well, first, a pic of the dress (http://picasaweb.google.com/epnichols/Halloween2006/photo#4997476494994178066), which was my halloween costume this year.

Wait - is the LIS society pay EACH YEAR, or a one time membership fee? I don't mind paying once, or even every 10 years, but if they want more than about 25 bucks annual they can go to hell, unless there are some pretty impressive benefits for being a member.

I'd be interested in what sorts of rare book stuff were at NLM, I might even have enough of a bio/chem/phys background to vaguely qualify. I seriously don't expect to get into NBSS on the first try, cause I don't think most people do and I'm not THAT qualified, just fairly qualified. As such, I expect I'll be looking for full time employment, a year position if possible...I'll start job hunting in late April, which is when my rejection will come if I've been rejected, looking for a job whenever one was available, though preferably in late August, since I don't want to pay to rents or to leave Bloomington early. But I will if I have to - a job's a job, after all.

I could teach you some binding stuff if you want - I've found it REALLY easy in many regards, probably because of the sewing background, I suspect you'd find it the same. It's not all that hard, really. :)
