I've already spoken to a few people about this, but I have lots of things I'd rather see lent out then sitting in storage for a year. Here's a preliminary list of everything I could think of during the first few hours of work.

Editted to reflect the first and second set of replies! Also, added a few other things I thought of

I will be home on WEDNESDAY evening from 4 until I go to bed (about 10 or 11) if folks want to come take a look at stuff

Things I have available to lend
George Forman grill (small)

Kitchen Stuff: a lot of kitchen stuff is being given away (see below) but some things that aren't include a nice knife set and a spice rack which I'd be willing to lend out, plus a bunch of baking supplies (cup measures, whisks, baking sheets, bread pans, etc.) Some of this will be lent to [livejournal.com profile] fallenrose but I bet she won't take all of it. :)

Books (take a look at my account at LibraryThing...if it's back up...for a partial list - I own almost three entire bookshelves NOT listed there yet, though, I'm working on it... :) ) It's still down...so for quick reference this includes more than 2000 books, about half of which are manga.

Video Games, Movies, CDs: You'll have to either ask me if I have something or just come over and raid my collection. Highlights include a bunch of PS1 and PS2 games, lots of punk mixes, most of Babylon 5, all of Horatio Hornblower, and more...

Plants: tentatively, [livejournal.com profile] buzzermccain is going to take care of these for me, but if anyone wanted to take one or two, it would take some of the burden off of her, I have a lot of plants

A Beta Fish in a one gallon tank: My beta is well over a year old at this point, god knows how long it has left in the world, but assuming it's still alive when I leave, I need to find him a home.

Furniture: I have a fair amount of furniture, and I'd be willing to lend it out, but people would have to come and get it. This includes 3 mid-height bookcases, 2 end tables, a round kitchen table with a leaf and 6 chairs, a couch and loveseat, a small entertainment stand, a matching dresser and chest, 4 DVD holders, and a spinning CD holder, a small-ish computer desk, and a queen size bed/bedframe/box spring

Costumes

Things I'd like to give away!

Books : I have a stack of books I don't want. There are lots. You'd have to come take a look.

Dishes, silverware, etc. I'm gonna hold on to some of my baking stuff (cookie sheets) and to my pots and pans and knife set, but most of the plates and stuff aren't really worth keeping.

Walkman

Food, including my spices and teas and such. Obviously, different food things can go to different folks

Things I'd like to Sell
Hutch - a 20 year old pine hutch. It's a little beat up, but it's still a pretty nice piece of furniture. I'm thinking $50. It holds a ton of stuff and was, according to my mom, "really expensive" when she first got it. Possibly going to [livejournal.com profile] fallenrose

PS1 - ten bucks will get you a function PS1, no games, with a controller.

Game Boy SP - I have a Game Boy SP and about 15 games for it (roughly). I'm tentatively thinking $75 - $100 for the lot; I have to check just how many games we're talking about before I decide for sure. For a list of games, see the comments.

Portable harddrive/MP3 player - about 6 years old now, I know the battery in it is fried, beyond that I'm not sure if it works or now; I don't have the software for it, either, I don't think. A nomad. I wouldn't charge anything for it until the person who wanted it determined it's degree of functionality. Then, I'm thinking $20. It's got a 30 gig harddrive, if I remember correctly.

Things that have been claimed
Toaster Oven going to ALF (where I work)
Laptop being sold to [livejournal.com profile] buzzermccain
Sewing machine being lent to [livejournal.com profile] buzzmermccain
Car being lent to [livejournal.com profile] schenker28
Jonie being...er...cared for, hopefully by [livejournal.com profile] schenker28. Failing that....uh....
Computer stuff is all going to my brother, because most of it belongs to HEC
FFXII: the only game currently spoken for, going to [livejournal.com profile] dyrecorn
7 Seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 being lent to [livejournal.com profile] dyrecorn
2 tall bookcases (all subtracted from the above total) are being given to [livejournal.com profile] moonartemis76
Kitchenaid is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] nekomata
Guitar Hero controller is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] kniedzw
DDR controller is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] kniedzw
Bookcases - 2 tall and 3 low - are going to [livejournal.com profile] feyangel
A Nintendo and a few games is going to [livejournal.com profile] morbon_tg
A Sega Genesis, Sega CD and a few games is going to [livejournal.com profile] morbon_tg
Vacuum is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] swan_tower
Rice Cooker is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] gollumgollum
A 13" TV/VCR combo - I don't know if the VCR works, no remote is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] d_c_m
Small DVD player w/ remote is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] d_c_m
PS2 is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] corneredangel
A 27" TV is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] corneredangel
A 3" thick Queen size memory foam bed topper. It's comfy! is being lent to [livejournal.com profile] d_c_m or [livejournal.com profile] schenker28
A pastamaker, acquired at goodwill cause it seemed like a good idea...just don't think it's gonna get used after all. Not sure if it works. Being given to [livejournal.com profile] gilded_ygdrasil

I'm gonna keep posting and updating this over the next couple months in the hopes that I can send the maximum amount of my stuff out into the world, and obviously I'll be keeping a record of who has what. This is first come first serve, so if you want something, just speak up. Just remember, I'm gonna want my stuff back in a year, hopefully in approximately the same condition in which I lent it out. :)

Oh! And if any of you on the East Coast see anything you'd want, I can bring it as long as it'll fit in my car; I'll be coming east before I leave for sure, I'm thinking for mom's birthday, which is August 2nd, and will swing by Binghamton. Tentative dates are Aug 1 - Aug 5. Not long, I know, especially to hit NYC and Bing, but I don't think I can spare more time than that.

I'd lay claim to the pastamaker (we'll see if that bad boy works). Also, if tomorrow is good for you I'd come by and peruse the DVD/PS2 collection. If it's not claimed yet, I'd say I'd take care of the PS2 itself as mine is broken currently and am having to use the roommate's.

Well, no pressure to sell or anything -- it will probably be a while before I get around to playing any of them anyway (I've already got both Phoenix Wright games, Star Fox Command, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and Tales of Phantasia on the Play-list).

If you do decide to sell, I'd be interested in SMB3, Harvest Moon, and Sim City 2000.

...hm, those are all games I spent a significant portion of my childhood playing. Well, not Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town specifically...the SNES Harvest Moon was one of the most addicting games EVER, though. I remember running to the cave for herbs to sell during the winter and giving my wife an egg to placate her when I stayed out on the farm too late >_>

Yeah, I think some of it would. You have a much bigger chest than me but at this point we're probably close to the same size at the waist and hips, and a lot of my stuff is corseted. We'll set up a time for you to come take a look at the books and the costumes and stuff. :)

Can i put a tentative claim on the rice maker? I wouldn't mind test driving one before getting my own to see whether i'd use it or not.

I -was- going to say I'd be interested in the pastamaker and rice maker, but it appears I am too late. Um, bread pans are good though. And I -might- be interested in the hutch, I'd like to see it though.

I was just starting to post about the 3" memory foam, because I still can't decide whether or not to get one for myself.... but I see d_c_m beat me to it! But if that changes, please sign me up :)

Here's what I'm thinking. There are a few games I feel more strongly about on that list. So...

I will sell you SMB3 ($5 sound good?), give you Sim City 2000, and LEND Harvest Moon.

The games I'm having the most trouble parting with are Harvest Moon, Super Puzzle Fighter, and Kingdom Hearts. :)

How do you feel about borrowing it rather than buying it off me? It'd be yours for a year...

The couches can be seen in This picture from Halloween (http://picasaweb.google.com/epnichols/Halloween2006/photo#4997476426777821202). The couches are large, matched, and were brand new in October (ok, they were the floor models, but still...) and I would be VERY angry if anything happened to them. That said, I of course wouldn't have offered if it weren't okay, it's just that I want to make it clear that they are NOT your typical "college" couches that are beat up and old...

As for the other 2, those are fine - which TV are you interested in? Thing is, [livejournal.com profile] d_c_m sound pretty enthusiastic about the small one I have... :)

Done and done. The PS2 is, sadly, claimed. I'll be home started at about 4 all evening, though I go to bed fairly early.

It's yours. It's a pretty big one, too.

You can stop by on Sunday morning if you'd like, and take a look at the hutch and glance through my baking stuff (though some of those I won't be ready to lend out until it's closer to moving time)

Oh noes! One of my local friends actually claimed those last night not in a post...I could lend you season 1, they're taking season's 2 and 3...

It didn't occur to me, I should actually type up a list of games and such for the out of town type folk. Bah!

The TV/VCR combo is no problem, though I'm not sure if the VCR works, as I said. :) It's really useful, though, it's small enough to carry around.

The DVD player is no problem.

The PS2 and big TV are (I think) already claimed.

I'm not so sure I can lend out the 3" memory foam any more. About an hour after I added it to the list I got home to discover that the dog had peed on it - she'd never done that before. I've cleaned it up, of course, and I'm continuing to use it, but I'm no longer sure if it's appropriate for the use of others, it'll be a few days before I can tell (it'll have to dry and air out and be cleaned some more before I can tell how permanent the damage is)

And I'm not really a typical college student...though I think getting them to my apartment would just be *too* much of a bitch. But I definitely want dibs on the bigger TV.

Though, as a base assumption, you did LIVE with me for a year, and I still have a good chunk (about half, unsurprisingly ;) ) of the things I had then, plus new acquisitions.
