Channel surfing, I found...Fushigi Yuugi! Somehow, this pleases me immensely. Not a bad episode, either. I haven't seen this show in ages. What I wonder is, what the hell is it doing on TV, it's 10+ years old. Oh, and only 2 minutes in, and Miaka and Tamahome are already shouting each others names. Where's booze when I need it? (Warning: the Fushigi Yuugi drinking game - drink whenever Miaka and Tamahome start calling each others names, or anyone else class Miaka's name - will cause death from alcohol poisoning.)

Edit: This show is a fair bit stupider than I remember, but oh well, it holds a place in my heart anyway. I'll have to watch it each week, that'll be fun!! :)

Edit 2 And if I'm understanding this weather report right, we're getting a typhoon tomorrow. Delightful! I should go check this some place with English...well, none of them will say it's a typhoon, but the weather maps show a scary swirling thing moving towards us, and lots and lots of rain and thunderstorms the next two days. It sure rained a ton today, so I can believe it. This'll be fun! :) Maybe I should bring my plants in...

Edit 3: OMFG WTF BBQ I just found Poirot dubbed in Japanese. I'm flipping channels, and I'm like, wait, this looks familiar, so I wait until they're done with the random character intro...and there's David Suchet! With a funny, funny Japanese voice!! LMFAO!! :) Wait...it's not just a funny voice, it's Japanese with a French accent. Oh, that's just the best ever!!!!!

Yay typhoon! Exciting, isn't it? Except I think now we're not getting it where I am. Awww.

And...ah, Fushigi Yuugi. Er...I...had better not say anything beyond that. (Unless you want me to. ;) But yeah, there's always room in one's heart for such things, no matter how stupid they...er...may or may not be. (Alcohol poisoning is right!)

MIAKA!!!

TAMAHOME!!!

sigh.

But I'm pleased to note that Nuriko still totally rocks, even if the rest is even dumber than recalled. ;)

And I suspect that missing the typhoon won't be a bad thing. It's gonna trap me in the house most of tomorrow, I fear.

Of course. Nuriko will always rock. I'm pretty sure he was actually the star of the show, clearly; the constant shouting of two other cast members was just to throw people off.

And awww, I think they just said on TV that the typhoon isn't going to hit us. Sigh. Even if they really aren't that exciting, as you note. Last time I was here (in this area) it was just kind of noisy wind and lots of rain. I like storms, but these ones don't even seem to have thunder and lightning. The ones that smack Midwestern towns for half an hour and then let you go out again are much more exciting and less disruptive. (Unless there are tornadoes, of course. Then it's just scary.)

Yep, I know the ones you mean. None of the tornadoes came close while I lived in the midwest, thank god. :)

aw, it's just a little baby typhoon, which aughta be hitting any minute according to that. Strangely, I did actually LOOK at this page yesterday, but couldn't find the stuff about the typhoon. Sigh.

I wonder the same thing about the Simpsons, or anything on Nick at Nite.
