The typhoon is somewhat past now. Total damage: one plant knocked over (I righted it) and one nights sleep demolished by constantly rattling window panes. It apparently hit land at 2 am, though I know it was bad before that since I was woken up at 1:30. It made for a long night. I should have just given up and gotten out of bed. Meanwhile, apparently a guy died somewhere outside Tokyo when a tree fell on him. Anyway, the wind seems to have died down. Now it's just raining. A lot.
