Procrastinating....

Well, I had the horrifying realization on Saturday night that I had to write a research paper from scrap by the end of the week, in addition to a case study and some other stuff, and for about one blinding moment I was completely panicked...then I went back to normal, hence my current procrastination (I haven't started, yet for some reason I'm writing here...hmm...)

Anyway, I had a pretty great Thanksgiving. Went to NYC first as planned, spent time with my mom and my grandfather. I saw lots of old friends, including three of my best friends from HS who I hadn't seen in between 2 and 4 years. It was a little awkward, but I'm really glad that we did it anyway, cause we'd all lost touch. I'd missed those guys so much! I had an experience similar to the one Sara was talking about with ex's, too, cause one of the three was my ex boyfriend (and the first person I ever french kissed...) and I treated him really bad way back when cause I was an immature highschool idiot. He has a fiancee now, and she seems really sweet and intelligent, and likes the things he does - a good match, I'd say. I'm glad for him.

After that, went to Jason's families for Thanksgiving dinner. Apparently, we missed the horrible drama by about an hour, which I'm sorry about (I love horrible drama) but Jay thnks it's better we left - and he may be right, since according to his mom there were many screamed swear words, which is highly inappropriate given the number of children present, I would have felt obliged to try to protect them.

Saw my dad too, on Friday. He was leaving for the Virgin Islands later that day (him and my stepmom went there a few years ago, to St. John's Bay I believe, and completely fell in love with it and go back from time to time). It was nice to see him, too, I talk to him so rarely...

Lastly, and the hardest part, was visiting Binghamton and seeing my friends there. It's not as bad now to see them as it was before we really had anyone in Bloomington, but it's still really tough. I'm glad of the friends I've made here in Indiana, and I look forward to getting closer with people, but there is nothing like being around people you've known for years, all the in jokes and teasing and just being around people and being truly *comfortable* and *sure of myself*. Ryan got Jay Guitar Hero for Christmas, and we all rocked out for two straight days, it was really awesome. Happy Birthday, Jen. I miss you guys! (sends out psychic rays that say "move to bloomington...move to bloomington...")

Anyway, I really should start working, dang it all. :)

Unfortunately not. I've been trying to encourage him to get one, but he keeps saying he doesn't have a clue what he'd write in one. :) If he gets one, I'll let you know.

Bah. He clearly must be assimilated.
