Stuff and stuff...
Dec. 31st, 2005 11:37 amFirst of all, I don't normally post links, but I thought this article in the Times was totally awesome...
So, Guy Walks Up to the Bar, and Scalia Says...
Anyway,
deadmanwade summed up our week pretty thoroughly. I never want to be inside that car again...poor captain...(my car is named Captain 1917...ask me about it if you are curious - not very interesting though)...
It's strange how things change over time. I love my family, truly I do. But I was on the verge of a sociopathic episode with them, because my 87 year old grandfather has very poor hearing, and my 61 year old mother is also, apparently, losing hers, so I had to repeat almost every single thing I said. I swear I was losing my mind - I HATE repeating myself...Anyway, everyone was irritated with me cause I kept snapping at them, but I was only snapping at them because I was saying things I'd already said, sometimes more than once! Aaargh.
That's my only holiday rant, though. Other than that, things went pretty well. Got awesome gifts, got very positive reactions from family hearing about the engagement for the first time (my mother, brother and uncle knew, but my dad didn't, nor did my grandfather, nor did anyone in Jason's family). Also, the mother's met for the first time, and it seemed to go very well (we'd been worried, both mom's are strong willed etc., we feared an explosion). So yeah, all in all, things are good.
Oh, and
Happy New Year, Everyone!
