In a hurry...
Jan. 23rd, 2006 12:43 pmWell, it's gonna be a busy week, and I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it. The Changeling game preparation has left me sadly behind in my actual job (though I've managed to keep up with my class work) and so I see some long nights ahead of me, for rather than being done until next Changeling game, I now have to prepare for the Parliament game, and for the next Hogwart's game. Ah well, it'll all work out in the end, I have faith.
The game yesterday was interesting. In a way, I'm upsettingly pleased with myself. Pretty much, other than reading my character description, the only information I was given at all going in was "you are here to watch." Sir Rowena had no goal in being there, she was simply there to watch the proceedings. However, I'm rather happy to say from that small foundation I was able to enjoy the game to a fair extent. Out of the 6+ hours the game lasted, I'd say I was IC and roleplaying for all but about 45 minutes. I really want to thank the people who made this possible, for if not for other players this wouldn't have happened, and I didn't get to thank them at nom's cause we were told to do only one. I nommed Eli, who was awesome. It was much fun to "flirt" by talking about how honorable and upright each other's orders were. Then, of course, there was every one in Danwyn's faction -
drake_rocket,
buzzermccain,
selenya, and
erdedrache - I had a great deal of fun with all of you. I discovered early on that, as a blunt, honest person, I was in a minority, and it was frustrating to talk to people knowing that they were trying to "get something" out of what I said, when really I was saying what I meant. Hence my enjoyment of playing with the Danwyn folk, who we all honest to (or at least appeared to be, I suppose they *might* have been lying). I also had fun with Lady Morwen, who enabled me to easily achieve a goal I had set for myself before the game - find someone worth breaking my neutrality for (I thought this would end up being Danwyn, but the way the game went, it just didn't work out that way). Also,
anima_mecanique was fun to talk to, as was pretty much everyone I interacted with. (I find myself saying that a lot after games these days, and I like it - it's nice that everyone does their part to make the game better. :) )
I'd babble more, but I have to get to class.
