Dr. Horrible
Jul. 20th, 2008 07:08 pmSo, Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog will go down tonight. I debated a lot whether or not to watch it. See, I figured just from the title and what my friends hinted at that it would be a campy supervillain thing. And, well, I'm in the midst (though back burner right now) of writing a campy supervillain thing, and I was worried, about trapping myself into a mindset other than my own, all that kind of thing. However, this did battle with my general interest, the recommendations of friends, and the feeling that I'd lose geek street cred if I didn't watch it in the first run. So I decided to go for it.
And I'm glad I did. It's very well done, laugh-out-loud-funny, I <3 Captain Hammer, and far from messing up my ideas for campy supervillain things, it's actually left me wanting to work on the campy supervillain thing (which I won't be doing again until I finish the less campy superhero thing I'm working on right now). And I maintained my street cred. Really, a win all the way around. So for those of you haven't seen it yet, you've got until midnight, though damned if I know what time zone that's supposed to be in. ;)
Edit: In other news, it's been 88 degrees in my apartment all weekend. I'm sorry,
