Obama's Weekly Address

I thought I'd share this week's Obama address, which discusses in overview why our economy is collapsing and what he intends to do about it (it's only 4 minutes long, so don't expect much detail.) What I found most interesting, though, was just how much thought must go into the background of a video like this - it needs to look professional (the dark curtains, the desk), patriotic (the flag, of course), but he also has it set to look kinda homey (a lamp, a photograph that I think is of his wife and one of his children?), and the addition of the plant, which emphasizes all kinds of things. But yeah - lots of public works, uh, in the works. Wonder if anything will happen between now and the Inauguration? Gail Collins at the Times thinks that Bush should just go ahead and step down now.
