The More Things Change...
Jul. 8th, 2009 09:25 pmThe more things change...the more they change. This week, since Monday morning, has done a complete 180, so quickly that it's disconcerting. I don't want to go in to great depth right now, but to run down the items in brief...
1. I have a boyfriend. :)
2. I saw apartments for potential purchase, got tentative approval for a sizable loan (not unreasonably sizable...), and learned a bunch about buying co-ops, mortgages, and all manner of other things.
3. When I ranted about not getting any of the 21st CCLC grants in my last post, I mentioned that we were still waiting for word of three other grants - well, those results are coming, and so far we can confirm that we've won one, which is very, very exciting news.
4. This isn't good or bad, but after we didn't get the 21st CCLC grants, the family + Jen started talking about the future of the company, and it's starting to look like we're thinking that we're not going to continue ad infinitum - which we knew - and that we're looking at a timeline of roughly 5 to 7 years, which means I need to start seriously thinking about what I'm going to do next. Okay, amend that, I was already thinking about this, but now I need to start making some decisions, which is really just overwhelming...
So all in all? I was super depressed on Monday morning, and though now I'm relatively stressed, I'm mostly feeling pretty good about life. :) It makes for a weird reversal...
