Travel Plans
Aug. 31st, 2009 10:37 amTomorrow evening, I leave for my trip.
I spent yesterday cleaning and resting, and this morning I did my laundry, finished the last bit of work I had to do, and then packed. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but then, I always feel like I'm forgetting something - and I usually am - and it always ends up working out. I have my passport, so I have the only thing that I really need - the rest, well, I'll manage.
In brief, my itinerary is (all times local):
9/2, 10AM - arrive in Paris
9/9, 3PM - arrive in London
9/17, 3PM - arrive in Amsterdam
9/22, 11AM - arrive back in NYC
I'm pretty excited, and getting the usual pre-trip jitters. Still, it'll be great to spend three weeks with my grandfather, and with my mom and brother and sister-in-law, too. I'll be sharing a room with mom, and the three of us youngun's will be combining to help my grandfather, who is 91 and doesn't move very well anymore, around and make sure he has all the help and support he needs.
( The Complication - The Apartment Situation )
Annoyances and stress aside, though, everything else is peachy-keen.
As always, I extend my travel offer: Looking for something from someplace I'm going? Miss that tea you can only buy at Harrods? Always dreamed of tacky windmill-inspired kitsch? Dig Paris fashion? I will happily hunt down any item that is requested, and mail it to ya when I get home; all I ask is that if it's more than $10, you'll have to pay me back. Just drop me a comment or an e-mail (unforth AT yahoo DOT com) and I'll commence the hunt - I love tracking stuff down. ;)
