unforthNormally, I'm all about compromise, and understanding the other guys point of view if I possibly can, but if this quote is accurate, all I can say is that the Republicans in question must live on a different planet. Republicans, for their part, interpreted their defeats [in the 2006 and 2008 elections] as a sign that they were not conservative enough in opposing spending and pushing tax cuts.
