That makes sense. Yeah, two of my good friends, whose intelligence and expertise I really trust, acted like I was out of my mind to try to suggest that some people may end up having more good or bad things happen to them than others - they insisted that over any one persons lifetime that this would always balance out, and that it's our perception and desire to see patterns that makes us overlook the bad that happens to good "luck" people and vice versa. I didn't think they're counter was unreasonable - but it didn't change my mind. ;)
I get really fidgety during games, and I like to role dice. I originally did it by rolling up random characters (like generating D&D stats) and it moved on from there; I have page after page among my rping notes that are just tallies of dice rolls. ;)
And I thought about that with the sick - I've been getting enough sleep, but it could definitely be stress related, though I'm usually (ha!) luckier than that - I usually get sick after I'm done with deadlines, not before them...
