"The disagreement" ?? That's AWESOME. And while granted, VMI is still there and still called that, it's not like it's MIT or something - it's not a college people know so well that they're gonna know the abbreviation. But I bet that happens a lot with patrons - because they know something, they assume that everyone else knows it to, I remember that used to happen when I worked at the bookstore, people would ask for an author, like, "Do you have the latest Smith?" and I'd ask about the first name and the name of the book and the genre, and they'd look at me queer because I didn't know all of that already because Smith is such an important author - have you found that kind of assuming to be a frequent problem?
