The week...
Mar. 9th, 2006 12:45 pmBeen a pretty boring, fairly busy week, hence the lack of posts. I wrote a paper due today, I think it's kinda crappy but oh well, whatever, at least it's finished.
Ran my game Monday night, almost had the PC's convinced that it was a good idea to charge into a town with 20+ hill giants in it...why oh why didn't they, it woulda been great! And by great, I mean death! Death is great! :) At least for me...PC's die, GM wins!
Tuesday, got together with people in the evening and watched Mirrormask, which was a very interesting movie. To me, more than anything it was a rather artsy kids movie, though none of the others really felt the same way, they all seemed to a agree that it was an art film flat out. Still, I couldn't escape the feeling that aside from some fairly dark imagery, kids would get a kick out of it, especially the 10 - 13 range, where they are old enough to deal with horrible shadow monsters and young enough to still see magic in stuff (course, that all depends on the kid, but whatever)...I think I liked it, though, it had some great imagery (though it also had some imagery I didn't like) and Valentine was an awesome, awesome character. :)
Last night was the Drow game, but I didn't do much cause I was writing my paper - mostly I just agreed with everything
xaniquen said. Still, I'm a little excited, we're going back into the Underdark, which gives me an opportunity for the first time in ages to flex the more evil side of being Lawful Neutral.
Today and tomorrow look to be as busy as the rest of the week has been, so I probably won't post more than a little before I leave on Saturday; that said, I'll be posting from the city, especially now that I know how to upload pictures to Ella...expect to see wedding-planning related pictures and the like. :) Oh, and now that I think about it I'll probably put up a post ranting about the 'lude...
