Sleepiness and stuff

unforthI don't know what it is about knowing that I have to travel that causes me to wake up spontaneously 3 hours before I need to and not fall back asleep. Sigh.
Anyway, the flight went fine, if a bit long for no explained reason (why did the 1:45 minute flight take 2:15? I don't get it!!) but other than that things are fine. I got here, hung out with my mom and my uncle and mom's friend Alexis, ate yummy Japanese food that was delivered to our door - better than the other Japanese food we got delivered in the past, which is spiffy. :) Mom seems very well - she was thrilled today because she walked around the block (approx. .2 miles) which is by far the longest she's gone - it was great. It's a little scary, though, she seems very old in some ways that she didn't before. Superficially, I'm sure that this is because she has to walk slowly and is using a cane but...I don't know, she'll be 62 in August, and she is sorta starting to seem...old. I hope that sense will fade once she's recovered, cause it's not a nice feeling. :( Still, she's okay and that's all that really matters.
Had a pretty good interlude over all. Didn't really have that much that I needed to do - only really one conversation that *had* to happen (which didn't, lol) and a few others that I wanted to have. Highlights/favorite moments include:
-Asking BEE for more money to make her stuff, only to then negotiate her down from the amount she offered Kathryn ($500 is way too much per weapon!!) - the reaction this got out of Dino when Kathryn told him was priceless. :)
-Dino explaining to the Countess why she should turn around while the Boggan's cook...
-(after determining that Lex hurt Dino...)
Kaye: "We're Boggans. We don't get mad."
Kathryn: "No, we get even." (...before learning IC what had happened to Lex, of course)

kniezdw is a big meanie. I especially was happy that I got to show a little bit of the slightly less nice Kathryn (the one that shows up when someone hurts those she cares about...) and I got to run a lot of little bitty scenes that were none the less important (now, Pinnochio, promise me you won't do anything that stupid ever again...)
Now I just have to write up my BGA's about the stuff I need to make - at least I have access to an internet connection now!!
In other news, it's confirmed that I will be moving on Monday the 22nd. Don't know the details yet, but I will have a key, the guy is definitely gone, etc. I'm hoping this won't be too big an ordeal, but I'm nervous and a bit depressed about it nonetheless.
My uncle thinks getting a dog is a spiffy idea, which makes me happy - he is my families dog expert, and I trusted him to tell me if he thought it was a really dumb idea. Instead, he promised that if I needed help I should just e-mail him, if he didn't know the answer he would track down a colleague that did (he works with, among others, a lot of the faculty at Texas A&M's Veterinary school - he's a biology professor there).
I realized in true retarded fashion that I don't have phone numbers for the folk I promised I'd contact, so I'll be sending e-mails instead. :)
Anyway, I'm really tired, so I'm gonna head off and...do some game stuff I need to do before tomorrow. :)
Last call, by the way - if people need/want anything from me while I'm hear, they should drop me an e-mail, a comment, a phone call, or whatever. I can't promise to reply to "whatever"'s, though. :)
