Quick Post
Don't have time to write a lot right now. Won't have internet in the new place until I get in touch with Insight and get a modem and stuff (grr) so that might be a few days - damned irritating. This post is mostly to make some quick notes to remind myself of what I'd like to say more about in the future. :)
The remainder of the week in NYC was very nice. It was great to see
bakanekotoo,
ultimabaka and
claireon - they all seem to be doing well, and I hope the baka's move is going well. :) Mom is doing really well - she apparently spoke to her doctor today about a pain she was having in her leg, and he was shocked at the amount that she had done. :)
Changeling went quite well on Sunday, and I was glad that my utter lack of sleep and such going into it in no way interfered. I'll post a more thorough highlight later on (such a bizarre combination of utter elation and happiness and total concern at the way things are going...) but I do have a choice quote that I have to post...
-(Kathryn has told Armand that his behavior doesn't bother her at all, but Dino (and Armand!) are worried that this is not actually the case, so he goes to talk to Kaye for advice - this isn't a scene I was present for IC, but is one I witnessed OOC)
Kaye: "Kathryn would say she was fine even if her legs had been cut off and she was on fire." (imitating Kathryn) " 'Oh, can I help you with anything?' "
Dino: "So how do I tell if she is a flaming amputee, or things are actually fine?"
Anyway, more Changeling rambling later. :)
Well, I didn't expect the move to be pleasant, but it's even more unpleasant than I anticipated, truly depressing - got a bunch done yesterday, and am doing a bit more today - except for the procastination represented by this post and by going and checking my e-mail. :) I don't think I'm going to try to move everything yet, though that was the original plan - instead, I'm moving the really imoprtant stuff, and I figure I'll finish up with other stuff over time. :)
Though the delays yesterday (not getting done as much moving as anticipated) had me considering not getting the puppy today, I decided that I'm just going to go for it. So I'll have a puppy tonight! (Pictures pending) :)
First of all, I'd be greatly appreciative if I could borrow a camera from one of the folks that is coming...
Anyway,
fallenrose,
morbon_tg,
miraeko,
dyrecorn and I'm not sure who else are coming over to my place to watch Aladdin tonight, and other hanging out I imagine, at 8 PM. Others are welcome, though I should warn everyone that I'm a bit low on refreshments and the like, since I haven't actually had time to go shopping yet.
The address is 3626 East Longview Avenue. To get there:
Drive down 3rd past the Bypass heading east (towards the mall). Make a left on Pete Ellis Drive. Make a right on Longview (which is the road just past the minigolf course). Drive straight on Longview until you hit 3626 - it's after a few other roads (I think it's...er...three stop signs in, but I might be off slightly.) It's the only house with a car port instead of a garage, and the car that's there (if it's there) has "Lion" as a vanity plate.
To get to my front door, you have to walk through the carport, down the stairs, around the corner to the porch (read: a slab of concrete) to the "patio" doors. That's my place!
If you have any questions, get lost, don't want to accidentally knock on the wrong door, etc., just call me - 812 327 5880. DO NOT ASK FOR HELP ON THIS POST, I DON'T HAVE INTERNET ACCESS YET. :)
Looking forward to seeing folk then! :)
I have loads more to say, but I have to stop procrastinating! Later all!

That said, I will issue my demand now. I am a dog person, and the presence of a puppy in my social circle means that I must see it. Soon. It is simply mandatory. I'll give you a call if I don't get a response from you by tomorrow evening, but there must be puppy visiting. When?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I still keep my fingers crossed that you (Kyle) and Bryn will get a puppy at some point. I know it's mostly in vain, but I want to live vicarously through you as my apartment will not allow puppies. And I'm allergic to cats.

congrats on the new place
Do you have super special Platinum edition DVD? It has this interview with Alan Menken that actually made me dislike him a little bit because he seemed too arrogant, which was sad... but it was interesting.
