"A night out" is a phrase referring to game talks and such held during none game times in person. :)

April and May's interludes and games are chronologically challenged to the extreme. As a result, I've made the decision to relate these things chronologically by real time rather than in game time. Because, honestly, they couldn't have happened in game order in a way that makes all that much sense without some tweaking.

Things started happening very fast after the White Court. The Countess asked to speak to Dino, and I ended up going along with them. It was a very extensive conversation. The Countess had lots of questions about fomori, the people of Muses, the history of events, etc. Dino knew all the answers, though, it seemed. He talked to her a lot about the Grail Quest and the Milderwood, where the White used to be prisoners; he also discussed a lot about of other stuff, though Kathryn didn't follow all of it. The Countess is very nice, and Kathryn came to fully appreciate just how complicated a job she had.

One of the main things that interested Kathryn in this exchange related to V and Lex. Apparently, some point previous, the Count had given V permission to kill Lex Lugnut, which V then did. This wasn't a problem. However, apparently V felt the need to badly damage Lex's hands in the process, thus endangering his ability to craft in the future. The Bes Din can't allow such things to happen unchecked apparently, so V was going to have to deal with the repurcussions. Dino warned the Countess about this, and also about the fact that technically, Lexander Lugnut held the land deed to Emberhold. The Count rarely noticed such things...

Meanwhile, back at Willowgrove, Dino had noticed just how much crafting Kathryn had done of late, and was concerned about how busy she was. She'd gone to him to speak about the revelation the Phoenix Egg had shown her, and to get his advice about the Mask that Frost had spoken to her about, but the conversation rapidly gets side tracked as Dino realizes that Kathryn agreed to make 100 guns for about $200 total, plus the cost of materials. Horrified, he asks her how long that will take her, and when the math is all said and done it works out that she is making about 33 cents an hour. Too horrified to know what to say but some curses, spluttering slightly, Dino passes her a book about negotiating skills, and proceeds to make her promise to never accept less than minimum wage again (and then backs that up with making her promise to actually charge what things might vaguely be worth.) Kathryn insists that she doesn't really care, she just wants to help out, but that proves in adequate. She manages to pull things some what in the right direction after that, telling Dino about her conversations with Frost. "He seems a bit intrigued by the mask as well, but he finally asks Kathryn just what she thinks she'd accomplish by making it, and manages to convince her - for it's true that she has no reason to actually make it - that it would be a bad idea to make it for no reason, that would just be asking for trouble.

After checking a few more times to ensure that she isn't going to be dumb about negotiating and such, Dino wanders off, distracted, leaving Kathryn feeling ansty and unsure, for she still hasn't told him about the Phoenix Egg.

June Interlude: Talking to Jain about item creation and the fomori, talking to Careg about the White (I kind of trust Harbinger Frost...), lying to the Bear, BEE's Batchelorette party - talking with BEE, talking with Triza and V, dancing, dancing with Diezel (Are you a lesbian?), Dino's arrival, Dino clothesless, "are you okay?", "what are you laughing about, Diezel?", secret passageways of Highground, moving the party to Willowgrove, Kaye's freedom, "it's going to be okay, Kathryn" (holding hands), telling Dino about the Bear, talking to Johnny Doe - why doesn't the bear mean me harm?
SMART's last mission: heading out (writing the letter); meeting up; realizing the danger; the first trial: the king and the sleeping forest; the second trial: the queen and indecision; the third trial: the queen and the key in Liza's heart; fleeing the red fomori.
