Actually, it's pretty fun- it's sort of a halloween tradition in Bloomington. I used to go with my mom in highschool.

Don Giovanni is a great starter opera (and *is* about Don Juan, as it happens). Manon... not so much. Madama Butterfly has the most *incredible* sets, but is depressing as Hell. Cinderella is fun. So is Hansel and Gretel, though often full of kiddies, since their friends are in it playing the choir of angels.

Weirdly, despite my love of opera, I've never seen Aida. The music is supposed to be fabulous.

I will see any opera. Also the Cirque, 12th Night, or Nutcracker.

Not really a musical fan, though.
