I only counted states that I've been too for a significant reason, not states I've only driven through or had layovers at airports in. Significant reason does include at least one pretty small excursion though: the only reason I've been to West Virginia is because my dad and I wanted to drive through Harper's Ferry. We didn't stop, we were in the state for approximately a minute, but it was a planned driving detour specifically to go there, so I'm gonna count it. ;) Beyond that, poor Delaware, where I've never bothered to stop except to pay the toll, looks so sad all by its self. :)

My dad and his wife often go to a beautiful botanical garden there - I've seen pictures, it's gorgeous - so I've been meaning to go. :)
