Spiderman 3 Impressions

Well, despite how much I was anticipating it, I can't say I went in with high expectations. Now, having seen it, I can't honestly say what I thought cause I haven't quite sorted it out myself. I think I need to see it again. Soon. Not because I'm obsessed with Spiderman, but because I had a most unfortunate thing happen: my audience sucked. There was a group of people sitting next to and behind me who refused to suspend disbelief at all and as a result they kept laughing even at incredibly inappropriate moments. Like during the last few scenes, which I assure you were not meant to be funny (mostly ;) ). All in all, it made it EXTREMELY hard to get in to the movie as much as I would have liked. I'm very disappointed about this, and I'm hoping I can get past it by just seeing it again and pretending that it never happened.
That said, there was at least one big thing I'm unhappy about that was the movie's fault and not the asshole audience members fault - something I waited most of the movie for that just didn't happen. However, over all I think that I liked it. It was no Spiderman 2....but then, I didn't think it would be. I particularly enjoyed the fight choreography, I thought they did some interesting stuff.
In other news, the trailer for Shrek 3 looked silly, the one for Harry Potter looked awesome - and I finally placed one of the snipets of footage in it that had really been bugging me because I couldn't ID it (I've seen the trailer like three times already), and the one for Pirates was sort of a mixed bag, but Chow Yun Fat is the man so I have, much like for Spiderman 3, high hopes but low expectations. :)
I had to write something, mostly to bitch about how much my audience sucked ass. :) And now, I'm going to bed. I'll probably be away from LJ land for the most part until the end of next week; if anyone needs me they should call.
