I'm not sure what first clued me in. I'm always the last person to find out anything, ya know? I mean, I didn't find out about 9/11 for like 4 hours despite being in New York. And today was a lot like that, I guess. I mean, I woke up, got dressed, went to the gym, worked out, took a shower, went to work...work was long and boring, and I kept putting off doing anything meaningful. Me and Anitta spent 20 minutes comparing how much it costs to fly from different places in the world to Australia (specifically, actually, how much it cost to go from Indy versus how much it costs to go from Narita). Stupid shit, right?
Why didn't Yahoo's stupid feature news articles tell me? (today's involved some celebrity I'd can't remember the name of explaining why she's never said "I love you," and a somewhat interesting article about a new dinosaur was kind of interesting) No, it wasn't until I was driving home, and I heard it on the radio. And I don't even have "Time Crisis 2" to make me feel better this time...don't ask.
Anyway, I'm holed up in tornado shelter near my apartment with a few other folks. I grabbed my Japanese flash cards, hopefully I'll be able to go to Japan...do you think they can fly airplanes? And thank god that Bloomington is one the most wired/wireless areas around or else I wouldn't even be able to post this to let people know that I'm okay.
I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone in my family since I spoke to my mother this afternoon...she didn't seem to have noticed anything weird, but maybe it hadn't hit NYC yet. My cell's down hard, though, stupid battery which never works...
Man, I'm just rambling anyway. I think it's the shock. Doesn't shock make you do shit like that? Ramble and focus on details that don't matter? I wish I knew what was going on. I wish I knew how to make things go back to normal. I wish that

Right. There was a reason I went on that rant. If any of you are reading this, if any of us are alive tomorrow morning, take yourselves over to ALF, it's on N. Range Road, off of 10th, and we'll break a window if we have to, drive my car through it or something, it's the best place I know of to hide, it's where me and Sappho said we'd whether the apocalypse...if only she weren't in D.C. I hope she's okay. Bring all the food you can, but leave everything else you can mange without, it's too hard to move most of the stuff.
Shit. I gotta go, there's a weird knocking on the doors, and I think some of the people I'm with might be stupid enough to actually open the damn thing on the off chance that it's a refugee.
Remember. Tomorrow morning. N. Range Road. All the food you can carry. I've got the key for the secondary and tertiary doors. We'll be able to get in, as long as there is still electricity and as long as someone comes along to unlike the primary door, which requires an actual fricken key.
Good luck, everyone.
