A tentative schedule of now until my departure.

This is mostly a heads-up to the out-of-town folks as to when I'll be in various places, and to help me get a sense of what's to come, but it might be of vague interest otherwise. :)

6/29 - the last day of my job at Preservation
7/4 - d_c_m's Independence Party.
7/5 - 7/10 - Going to California with the dad, the brother, and the sister-in-law to go to a "4th of July" party that my uncle is holding on Saturday the 7th. Haven't seen the family out there since 2004 (or was it 2003?) when my grandfather died, so it'll be good to go. :)

After I get back, there are various games and such. Then...

7/27 (actually, probably the evening of 7/26) - 7/29 (or possibly 7/30) - up to Chicago to visit buzzermccain. I haven't decided if I will come back to Bloomington before going on this next thing, which is...
7/31 - 8/6 - a swing by the east coast. I need to stop in Columbus to drop of computer stuff with my brother, stop by my dad's in New Jersey (and probably spend the night/next morning there) to drop of fragile things in a place with good storage, go home to mom's to visit with her on her birthday (she'll be 63 on August 2nd), swing up to Binghamton to see xaniquen, who will hopefully be there since I haven't actually informed him that I'm doing this yet, and just to say to folks there (I'll only go up for about a day, if that - the 5th), and then drive back to Bloomington.
8/7 - Warped Tour!! I'm excited!! Up about 30 min north of Indy. Also, the day that our lease expires. Note the previous week+ and notice why I'm starting to feel a little crazed. :)

8/16 - 8/19 - Gencon!

8/20, 7AM - my flight takes off.

The scary part of all of this is that all of the traveling in July translates to me having only about two weeks in which to move - much less time than I thought I would have in my initial calculations. Needless to say, this is freaking me out slightly...but at least I have now placed ALL of the big things I was hoping to do between now and my departure. That just leaves the little things I'm hoping to do, like beat Final Fantasy 12 (this seems increasingly unlikely, sadly), go to Holiday World, go the theater at least once (probably happening this week :) ) and generally hang out with folks as much as humanly possible.

And of course, I'll be going to the gym, studying Japanese, planning my trip, and working on my novel_in_90 (now over 20,000 words by a decent margin!) throughout. Oh, and reading the last Harry Potter book. That's WAY important on my list of priorities. :)

I really must like being busy, cause I truly always do this to myself. :) Ah well, all of it will be fun-fun-fun. :)


Edit: Oh, and thanks, everyone, for the dentist advice!! I really appreciate it! :)

Thanks! I left some stuff off, too, like Harry Potter meetings and going to the 5th movie and plans to go to Louisville...it's going to be a very busy month...which is exactly what I want! I want to OD on fun stuff with my friends before I leave and go someplace where I don't know ANYONE... :)

Definitely! Aside from moving, the main thing I wish to do between 7/11 and 7/27 is hang out with people. :) And with two weeks to move, I should be fine.

By the by, I'm VERY sorry I won't be able to get to D.C. - I really did mean to, but the time is flying and I just don't think I can. :(

Definitely! And I decided to omit the dates in August when we'll probably meet up in Japan, though they are currently the latest thing on my calender. ;)

The Gencon - Japan thing was actually on purpose - I decided that the best time for me to try to over come jet lag would be when I was completely exhausted from the con and likely to randomly fall asleep ANYWAY. The plan as it stands right now is that I'll do the con as normal, then not sleep on the night of the 19th, get on the plan early on Monday morning, stay awake until I reach Atlanta (around 10 AM I think) and then fall asleep once I get on my Atlanta - Tokyo flight, and sleep a full "night", thus (hopefully, if it goes as planned) waking up at approximately a normal time on Tuesday morning in Japan. :)
