Konnichiwa, minnisan! ;)
Anyway, I have arrived safe and sound and am posting this from my landlords office in Shinjuku. The trip was as close to without a hitch as it could have been - there was slightly more trouble with my luggage than I had anticipated, but it was not anything that money could not fix. The flights were long but otherwise painless. MY flight to Tokyo arrived over an hour early. On the negative side, my plans to get sleep failed pretty much completely, so I have only gotten about 3 or 4 hours of sleep, and no more than an hour at a time, since 6 AM Sunday morning. When all is said and done, I think I will be able to call this the longest I have ever stayed up. On the plus side, though, this meant I got to watch a whole lot of movies on the plane, with the two highlights being that I saw 300 and Hot Fuzz (I also saw The Last Mimsy, which wasn't terribly interesting, a Korean film called 200 Pound Beauty which was cute, and Finding Nemo, which I had seen before). I did not like 300 as much as everyone else seems to have, though I thought the cinematography was interesting; I really liked Hot Fuzz, though. :)
Now if only I could figure out how to type an apostrophe on this Japanese keyboard... ;)
More to come when I actually, you know, have a computer of my own.

Date: 2007-08-21 08:28 am (UTC)(Haha, I watched the Last Mimsy on the plane too. I had never heard of it before. It was the only movie I watched because the one after it looked downright inane, rather than just fluffy, and I can only watch so many movies in a row, even on a plane.)
