Yay, I have time to write a very small amount. In truth I could probably write more - after everything I said I hardly got anything done today (laughs at self a bit) but my presentations went, well, smiwingly (I've got brit talk on the mind from writing Hogwarts) and I'm in a good mood, I just don't feel like writing more. :) And, to admit a secret, part of why I didn't write more is that I can't-quite-remember what happens next...shh, that's a secret. ;)

Anyway, today's itty bitty bit...

The door pushed in on old, creaky hinges to reveal a long, dark – though not pitch black – corridor At rare intervals along it’s length torches sputtered in the stale air, but the darkness seemed to oppress the light, and the pools it spread were limited, surrounded by dark stretches. One by one we stepped through and closed the door behind us. Then, for several long moments we just stood there, as if none were quiet sure what we should do next.

Finally, we walked down the corridor for a ways, until we came to a place where it opened out into a room of sorts. At the far end of the room, the corridor continued on. A faint light suffused the room, and there were two boys of about 18 chained to one of the walls. One of them, a smart looking fellow, was grinning at us. One of his arms hung free from the chains, while the other was bound over his head. The other boy looked like his face was locked in a permanent sneer, and he didn’t acknowledge us at all.

“You should be more careful ya know,” said the boy who was smiling in a thick British lower-class accent. “Groundskeepers’ just down that way a bit, he’ll see ya if ya aren’t more careful.”
