She's just such a maverick. Mavericks (just like John McCain. He's a maverick too. A mavericky-maverick) don't have to answer questions. Silly unforth. Why, back when she was mayor of Wasilla, the folks there know you never answer questions. You go and ask the hockey moms . . .
Heck, she's such a maverick, she's certain that she's different from John McCain, but just now, she's not gonna tell us now. But you just ask Joe Six-Pack, he'll tell ya...
Darn my lack of memory for not remembering the exact question, but it was just after a rebutal to something that she said. Sara Palin just kind of looked at the camera and there was this very awkward pause before she attacked Obama and Biden for throwing up the "white flag" on the war. For most of that rebutal she just kept looking down as if she was looking at note cards and trying to remember what they had coached her about saying. I just looked at the wife and saying, "Now that was a rather awkward pause."
I remember noticing the same thing right at the beginning - Biden kept making eye contact with folks, and Palin spent the whole first question staring at her podium, I couldn't believe it.
Over all, though, I hate to admit it but she didn't do that bad a job, not in comparison to my expectations, anyway. That said, I LOVED watching her totally botch the homosexual civil union question. :)
