The Economy

Well, on Monday I was starting to think maybe I'd overreacted to the magnitude of the current economic crisis.

Nope - stocks are down 500 points so far today - though I'll admit to hoping for a last hour rally. :) (edit: Then again, who knows? in the past 5 minutes it's recovered 100 points, to only 400 points down...just more evidence that things are super volatile right now...)
This has been prompted by reports which indicate that Retail sales fell 1.2% in September - that's despite an upcoming holiday season and a slow lowering in the strain caused by high gas prices.

Yes, we've got trouble, right here in River City...

haha the American economy is rejecting the bailout plan in the same way the human body could rejects someone else's blood, or the way I reject bad vodka...it's amazing to watch it all go to shit $

Even the trekkie monster woulda gotten smashed...and not in a good way :P. Take a moment to google RICK, PLA, NOOF, and PRVT. even the porn companies' stock prices are getting crushed :)

The Nikkei is apparently already down almost 10% since open this evening...

If porn isn't going up, the world is clearly doomed.

The nikkei hit limit down at exactly 4:00pm today...the corps in the office literally cheered afterwards. it's all going to shit.
