Halloween Costume

Shockingly, this is the only picture of me in my costume that shows more than a little of what I wore. Ah well, it'll have to do...

I spent so many hours pleating this thing it's not even funny. But overall it was actually pretty easy to make, and it fit me better than almost any costume I've ever made, which was spiffy.

The underskirt is dark red, as is the trim around the neck; the underskirt is bordered in white, which you can just see at the bottom. :)

I really loved wearing it - I can't remember the last time I felt so good in a costume (except kinda the wig, which hurt like hell after about half an hour).

That is awesome. i am being slowly lured into the local civil war reenactor's group. I think it was be so fun to make and wear historical clothes. I did sharply spoken to for calling their outfits costumes. I might have to email you for sewing advice.
