I'm nervous

Falling down

The thing I like about falling down is the feeling of remembering that falling down isn't really that big a deal. I'm a stinkin' coward, and whenever I start doing something like rollerblading (or last year, when we went snowboarding...) I start to get really afraid of falling down and getting hurt.

But today, I fell down, and aside from getting a solid reminder of why I always wear wrist guards when I rollerblade, nothing came of it, I didn't even get a scratch. I got some quirky looks from passerbys, but otherwise...

It's good to fall down sometimes.

New York, again

So I'll be in NYC again next month, for those who I haven't told yet. My mother is having surgery on April 27th, and me, my uncle and my brother are taking turns helping out afterwards. As such, I'll be leaving on May 13rd and returning on May 21st.

I can't escape the feeling I'm a bad person, because I dictated my dates to mom based on the interlude (on the 12th) and the Changeling game (on the 21st - my flights in the morning). I mean, I'm still staying 9 days, and I would have come earlier if she'd wanted me too...I'm staying longer than my uncle is...then again, he lives in Texas...
