I've been negligent in reading the news of late, but I've started to wake up earlier again, so hopefully I'll be able to do this a bit more regularly again.

"Early indications were that the plane’s engines had shut down after having ingested a flock of birds" - Makes Me Wish I Still Lived in My Old Apartment - and if that's not ultimate proof of the voyeuristic nature of people (or at least of myself), I'm not sure what is. ;)

"The president who came to office vowing to be a 'uniter not a divider' alluded to the deep partisan divisions that marked his eight years in office." - Bush says Farewell.

Nationalizing Banks? - when a less-than-majority-stake bailout just isn't enough...

I think Bush did an absolutely stellar job as a uniter. After 8 years of his Presidency, absolutely no one likes him anymore :P

And don't get me started on the banks bit *huggles*

I do have Monday off, and I only realized I did last Tuesday. Discovering that little bit has singlehandedly made my 2009 so far babe...and I'm gonna celebrate it to the best of my ability to sleep in :P
