Sick Again

Well, I appear to be getting sick. It started yesterday with a general crappy feeling which then focused in on a headache, a sense of dullness, and a very stuffed nose. Today it's a stuffed nose, sinus pressure, a dull feeling, lots of muscle aches, and an elevated temperature (though not quite a fever yet). I had to reschedule an observation I was supposed to do this afternoon, and I may not be able to go to Ohio tomorrow (I'm supposed to be there from tomorrow 'til Saturday to celebrate my sister-in-law's finishing her first two years of nursing school - it's her pinning ceremony and she's officially a nurse now, though she's got another year to become a nurse practitioner).

I've mostly embraced and grown to love being on my own, but on days like this? I wish there was someone to help me out, to do the laundry that I'll have to do instead, to run to the drug store, to walk the dog...but there's not, so instead I'm going to whine briefly on LJ and then suck it up and deal. :)

I'm sorry you're sick. I do hope you'll be well enough to travel tomorrow, and I'm sorry no one is close enough to help out.

Thanks. I really appreciate the support. I know I'll be okay...but it feels crappy before then...I hope you're feeling better too, by the way!

Oh, I so understand the 'living alone' part :( I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks. Today was a bit better than yesterday, thanks in large part, I think, for the addition of ibuprofen...

I totally hear you -- when I'm sick (or really laid up with a sprained ankle, nearly-broken foot, etc etc) I really want to have someone around to help out. I find that being really sick and alone is crappy.

Anyway, get better soon!

In a way I'm glad I've got the dog. On the negative side, I have to walk her (which means I've gotta find the energy to walk about a mile and a half each day) but on the other hand, she seems to sense when somethings up, and she's been pretty well behaved and cuddly. Course, she can't go buy me chicken soup...sigh...

And thanks. :)
