To the friends and strangers who suggested that I read Georgette Heyer,

I love this book. The only problem is how will I put it down long enough to get stuff done today?

Yeah...I finished it last night. Other than the final "reveal," which wasn't nearly as romantic as I might have hoped, it was pretty much exactly what I wanted. Except for all the hours it ate up when I should have been doing other stuff. Now I'm fighting an internal battle about going to the bookstore today when I'm in the neighborhood and buying another... :)

I mentioned Heyer to my mom, and got roundly laughed at, turns out back when these were new my mother, one of her oldest friends, and both girls' mothers (my grandmother) were fanatical about reading them. She said she thinks my grandmother (who I never met) must be smiling down on me from where ever she ended up, that her grand daughter has finally discovered Georgette Heyer. :)
