I'd written a long rant about how irritated I am, but then typing it made me feel a lot better, and I felt bad for ranting, so I pulled it down. :) In short, I'm having difficulty finding a pattern for the outfit I want to make, but in the last 5 minutes or so since I wrote the previous post I've managed to calm myself down and look at things a bit more objectively, and I think that the situation is salvagable. I think I've found enough to go on. So hopefully, I will have a truly awesome outfit for the Parliament game...this will help me feel better about the fact that I'm not really getting to make anything all that cool for the Concordia game. :) Woot! :)

Do recall that you can come look at my actual formal kimono and obi if you want. I've got pretty much everything necessary for an outfit, including crap like the obi-makura that you don't realize you need until you're 70% of the way into tying your obi, and given that the colors are black, white, silver, and red, it's pretty underworld-y.

I would definitely like to see it, but I've got this Heian thing in my head and it won't go away. :) And the Heian outfits don't have obi's. :)
