My week in review

Last week was very busy, and this week looks to be almost as bad. :) My mom, who is my employer, and who runs a consulting company that writes grants, as to be finished with a grant by Thursday, a big one, so she has lots of work for me. On top of that, I have to try and get my school work done, because I fell behind last week. Over all, though, some impressions of some of my more interesting stuff. Most of the rest of the time was spent working, studying, or sewing. Apparently, I'm writing a lot - just a warning - I don't usually go this much in depth into the stuff that I write about ;).
Monday: Ran again for the first time in like a month and a half. (I'm actually typing this while waiting for my last player as I run again tonight) It was a short session, and mostly wrap of the previous game, but it was still good to get going again. My game, for the record, is a D&D Forgotten Realms game that I run for
deadmanwade,
eviltophat,
xaniquen and
mistresssin over OpenRPG. They have been on an extended quest (since the beginning of the game, which was last spring before we moved) to determine more about the nature about
deadmanwade's spell fire.
Wednesday: Our other long distance game resumed.
deadmanwade is an asshole who GM's the game, whch is an epic Forgotten Realms Drow game that we've played since we were third level (it's been a couple years or more, though the game has had several extended breaks). It started as a Menzoberranzan game, though I (the Matron Mother) managed to loose Lloth's favor, it's complicated. These days we're 25th level, and we've been hanging out in Waterdeep. The asshole took away my cohort (who was also my boyfriend), a 22nd level Earth Genasi fighter. Valanna cried a whole lot, it was sad. It was great timing, too - the previous session, Aermus/Darthanti (
xaniquen's character) confessed his love for Valanna. Things should get interesting this Wednesday. :)
Friday: My first Hogwart's interlude as an ST. It was interesting to be on the other side of things, both in a good way and a bad way. People seemed excited about the new setting (those who got to hear any of the details of it, anyway) and I'm looking forward to the game this Sunday, though I feel terribly unprepared...we need another ST meeting, guys. ;)
Sunday: Obviously, the Parliament of the Apocalypse game. Honestly, I was a little worried going in, but it was truly a great deal of fun. I was flattered and happy that people though I looked awesome, and I was pleased that I was able to walk, which had been a fear of mine. I was thrilled, over all, cause I accomplished my primary goal (which, not terribly secretly, was to be free of the underworld) and helped others to achieve their goals. (which are their secrets to tell). I thought everyone looked great...in terms of that, things that stood out to me were definitely
saracaraid and
tooth_and_claw, who looked great,
miraeko, who had a hot corsette and did well with her hair, Mayghin, who had a cool costume with a cool story to go with it,
drake_rocket, who really did look like a skeleton from far away (though that was without my glasses on :) ), uh...yeah, everyone looked really awesome. I can't think of anyone who I looked at and was like, what a half-assed attempt. Spiffy. The roleplaying was fun too, I spent a lot of the game trying to gather what people think "Apocalypse" meant, exactly, and that proved a much more sticky issue than I expected. I also got flirted with a whole lot by a certain Baron. I suspect that, had I accomplished my goal slightly earlier, I probably would have made a deal with said Baron to kill my husband...bastard...he trapped me in the fricken underworld, just cause I was a rotting zombie. What a bastard. Here are one picture and two picture of me - while you are there, you should look at everyone else, too!
Anyway, I've got a busy week, so I should go and run my game (they are sort of waiting for me. ;) ) and do some work.
