As people may have seen, we sent an e-mail to the list that Jason's backback had been forgotten.

This isn't what happened. It was in our car (that's where Jason had thought he had left it) and Jason realized that all our CD's and stuff are gone too. That means that my bag, his bag, and bunch of other stuff have been stolen.

My bag included my notebook, my Hogwarts book with all my notes and stuff, and a lot of other stuff like my buttons. My book included my notes for papers, my list of things to do, my mom's credit card numbers, my social security number, Jason's bank account number, and lots of other really important stuff. The character sheets and all the Hogwart's XP information were also in there.

Jason's bag included a bunch of character sheets, our changeling books, a sewing project I've been working on for at least two months, some graphics novels, and some other odds and ends.

They also took CD wallets and cases holding over 100 CD's, both burned and legitamate.

I can't stop crying. I'm feel so lost. I'm sorry to post something like this.

First things first: call your bank and the credit card companies now. Report it to the police, so if someone steals your IDs you have some coverage.

That's atrocious. As has been suggested, deal with the financial stuff ASAP, and file a police report. If the thief is foolish enough to try to access the accounts, they may be caught and you may get your stuff back.

I'm very sorry to hear about it, especially the personal stuff (like your bag and sewing project). If you should have the good fortune to find out who it was, let me know. I'll have a stern discussion of ethics with them.
