Weekend Review
Feb. 13th, 2006 04:37 pmFirst, anyone who holds the remembrances of times spent as a Trekkie needs to read the current update at SomethingAwful.com, because it's totally awesome.
Anyway, Saturday was Carmen's birthday party, which was very nice. People's performances were really, really awesome, and I was glad that I went, though I offer profuse apologies to everyone who saw me that I had I looked like hell (I saw myself in the mirror, it was bad. ;) ) ...so yeah, I'm really sad for the evil doom cloud.
Sunday was Hogwarts. I was a bit freaked out about STing (my first LARP GMing experience, though I've been GMing table tops on and off for about 3 years), but I think it went pretty well (though I didn't really do much that made me an ST...in terms of my actions for the game, I was closer to an NPC...). I didn't get most of the prep I was supposed to do done cause of Saturday stuff, so I ended up making pretty much everything up, and though I'm usually pretty terrible at extended speeches on the fly and the like, they came together pretty well, especially the stuff I spouted in Arithmancy (a little of which I ended up recycling for Spell Research/History of Magic).
Bitched out of class and belly dance today; tonight I have to do an hour and a half observation at the Monroe County Public Library Reference desk, and then I have to GM my game. I have evil plans for a potentially lethal combat, though, I've been looking forward to it since last week, hehehe...my vengeance for all my players being really quiet last game...hopefully, they won't just kick my enemies butt...

Date: 2006-02-14 12:23 am (UTC)The last communication about the game that I got was the email that Kendra had sent to a huge list of people, reminding that the game was Sunday at the Union. I got there around 2:15, after my kendo gig, and wandered the Union for half an hour before giving up and going home. (I even checked email while I was there to see if something had gone out since 10 that morning...)
