It's strange how not having anything to do on Sunday makes me feel like I have *all the time in the world*. It's a nice feeling, really. I sat down on Friday, and thought about the things that I have to do this weekend, and realized that I had all day on Sunday, and suddenly I felt like I could accomplish anything. It made me laugh.

I really want to write about the game last night, but I can't, and that makes me sad. It was really, really spiffy, though, anyone who wants to know more will have to try and get it out of me ICly.

Beyond that, life goes on. I meant to mention, I appreciated the advice of those who commented on my work situation. My mom and I spoke later that evening, and it was really funny, cause the first thing she did was apologize, saying that she was sorry and didn't mean to make me feel pressured or like I had to devote myself to the company. Meanwhile, I wanted to apologize, and did so, because I didn't mean to make it sound like I wasn't at all interested, nor like it didn't matter to me or anything. So it worked out fairly well, I feel a lot better about it. In response to [livejournal.com profile] ultimabaka, you make great points - the one thing I can say though, is that it's pretty unlikely we'll move back to the city cause, well, [livejournal.com profile] deadmanwade hates cities with a passion. I expect we'll live within commuting distance, though, or at least close enough that we could make trips with some regularity. Course, no promises, life is a funny thing, and people often end up strange places in pursuit of a job. :) I can't see us outside of the northeast, though...of course, we're still hoping to move to Albany...

To work!

Yeah if one of you guys doesn't want to live around here at all and the other one doesn't even consider it as making a sacrifice, I guess there's not all that much I can do about it ;). Although lemme tell ya, before I found the trading gig I had now, I spent many an hour looking for financial jobs, and encountered a surprisingly large number of something called "financial librarian." When I was looking, I dismissed the concept as weird (why the heck would I ever need a book from a library?), but doing a quick Hotjobs/Careerbuilder search for that sorta thing oughta pull some matches, even now.

And you could live closer to the city too *wink*

I don't think I'm the "financial librarian" sort - remember how much I hated Eco in HS? - though I'm not surprised that it's around, I know that most law firms have libraries, and the big ones have librarians for those libraries, I imagine it's the same in the economics world. :)
