Worried

Mom's surgery is today. I had somehow thought all along that it was tomorrow, but I found out yesterday I was wrong. I hope Jeremy (my uncle, mom's younger brother) calls me if anything happens. I hope he calls me if nothing happens, and everything goes fine. I'm scared. She was really freaking out yesterday, though she still had time and energy to listen to my continued freaking out. She's so amazing.

Finished the database homework to the best of my ability and handed it in. Have 7 pages of the paper written; there's not enough info on my topic, though, so I had a couple ideas of things I could get into a little more, and when I finish them I'm done no matter how long it is. I hope if I write out an e-mail explaining things, I'll get a little leniency if the damn thing is slightly too short. Then I just have to finish my pathfinder (which is about half way done) and do the take-home final for Preservation, and I'm done for the semester.

I spoke to Dr. Lion last night. The jackass didn't get out; there is an eviction hearing tomorrow, and she'll know by the time it's over when he'll have to be out by. She thinks it'll be by the beginning of next month, though, so I'll probably move on Monday or Tuesday.

Back to the paper writing!

Edit: Paper is done and sent off. It's only 9 and a half pages, but I think I said what I needed to say, was concise, and didn't fill it with BS, which should work in my favor.

huggles hon. i know how you feel. just think happy thoughts even when/if you get a phone call. best thing to do when moms are under the knife. i remember being able to read a whole book when my mom went under the knife a few years ago. three hours my butt!! but everything turned out good and your mom will be good also!

Thanks - and I do think Dr. Lion is cool; she noticed I was edgy on the phone (I'm often edgy on the phone...) and she told me an awesome joke and stuff - she's nice. :)

Luck and love, and my thoughts are with you. I was a total wreck when my mom had a pretty standard surgery a year ago, so i understand. Good luck with that and everything else.
