Oh, my wonderful internet! (cont.)
May. 26th, 2006 07:32 pmMore updating! :)
The Changeling game on Sunday was worth the exhaustion it caused for me to get there. I woke up by accident at 5:30 AM, left NYC, flew to Indianapolis, got a pick up, arrived at the game at about 1:30 ready to game. :)
I expected disaster this game, and to a large extent it happened. There was a whole lot of messy political stuff, some of which I even ended up sort of involved in - how unusual! It was a great session over all, especially given the shock that
kniedzw had for me - I had gone into the game OOC expecting to hear Dino's decision on Kathryn's rather unequivacle declaration of affection, and I had my suspicians of what that decision would be and why. However, I didn't have any guess that he'd start swearing oaths!! It blew my mind. And ICly, well, it was much fuzzier even than that - Kathryn was getting stressed waiting for any old answer, she didn't care if it was love or not love, but not knowing was just starting to make her a little bit nuts. All in all, it was most excellent! Aside from that, other fun stuff included increasing concern for Diezel, planning a trip to Europe with Petra, and generally having great Beltaine fun. Thanks to all, it was a great session. My only regret was no maypole.
Look at the puppy!
This is Jonie. She's three months old, she's sweet as can be, she's an attention whore, and she's never yet gone to the bathroom in the house. Generally speaking, she's a dream come true, and she is all mine. I'll be posting some pictures of my own later. ;)
Anyone who wants to come over and see Jonie should give me up a call, I'd be glad to have folks over. Given that it's summer now, I work at home and should be home a fair amount, at least until my internship starts, and even then as far as I know that will only be in four hour patches. Woot! :)
It's been a pretty good week over all. The move really sucked, but I got enough of it done that I can live, and also did some shopping so I can eat at home, etc. I straightened everything up, and it's pretty nice over all. I've been starting my workout regime (read: playing DDR for an hour) and other such things. It's lots of fun. I've been doing some work also, and still gotten some hanging out type stuff done, done some reading, and done some decent work for games. (though there is always more of that to do). Went and saw X-Men 3 last night, and while it was certainly not as good as I had hoped it would be, it was still okay. I thought the script had some issues, though - a lot of the dialogue was simply substandard. And I wanted to know more about Angel (in the context of the movie, I mean, I know about Angel normally) and about Colossus - they added a bunch of new people but they didn't put that much work into developig the personalities involved.
Anyway, that about sums it up. I've got a busy memorial day weekend ahead. Tomorrow I have to take Jonie to the vet first thing in the morning, and make sure she's all healthy, get heartworm medication, that sort of thing. Then I'm going to be missing Midnight, again, because I'm heading out with
saracaraid to see her perform, and I'll be gone pretty much all day. Sunday is the vile plotting all day, and then Monday is the HS game prom (it's been a long time in coming, and I have the feeling it's gonna be baaaaaad...in a good way, though...) ;)
