My first meme in a long while now, but this one was sort of fun...
1 Think of the first word that comes to mind when you think of me.

2 Run a google image search on that word.

3 Reply to this entry & post one of the pictures from your search, but don't tell me what the word was.

4 Put this in your journal, so I can post a picture for you!

Anyway, I got out of my internship early today because I was too tired to keep my eyes open (I kept sitting, closing my eyes and starting to doze off, I was really just completely useless...). But I thought I'd post a bit about my week...

I spent the fourth at various parties. I headed over to [livejournal.com profile] squishymeister's place and played some Guitar Hero, which is always fun - I need a copy of that game. ;) It was a pretty small get together, but I'm glad I went, because it was nifty to just spend some time with folk. After that, I met up with [livejournal.com profile] sapphohestia and we went over to [livejournal.com profile] d_c_m's party together, where I had a lot of fun. Jonie had a great time too, everyone seemed to want to play with the puppy. :) There was lots of food, belly dancing, burning peeps, watching of Independence Day and Star Wars, chitchatting with [livejournal.com profile] moonartemis76 and the other attendees...it was nice. Once dark fell, we set off a ton of fireworks that [livejournal.com profile] dyrecorn, [livejournal.com profile] miraeko, and [livejournal.com profile] buzzermccain and her man brought. It was wonderful. I was sad, though, because my camera ran out of batteries early enough that I didn't get any pictures of the mortars, the burning Bush, or of me playing with the Mega-Sparkler - so instead of taking pictures with the Sparkler, we just sang the Star Spangled Banner, it was actually kind of nice, rather patriotic. I've been surprised to discover, by the by, just how few people seem to know the words to the Star Spangled Banner.

Jonie, on the other hand, doesn't seem to like fireworks nearly as much as I do; fortunately, when they aren't near her she just seems to ignore them, thank god. :) Listening to [livejournal.com profile] closetgnome's saga, I feel very lucky.

I worked on Wednesday, making boxes and labels and that sort of thing, it was a bit tedious. :) Then I headed out to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] danielmc and [livejournal.com profile] akashiver to talk about some Changeling stuff...it makes my head hurt...we ended up talking for about two hours, and probably woulda kept going except that I needed to go...I was on the verge of crying more than once, it was kind of surreal, really. However, it had to end, for I had to go to Contra dancing; I put on my tartan skirt and met up with the others, it was a lot of fun - first night I didn't sit out any of the dances. :) All in all, other than sleep, I was home for a total of less than an hour all day.

Yesterday was a loooong day. I didn't sleep well, waking up at 5 AM and not really getting back to bed. I headed over to the internship, where I learned to make clam shell boxes (which are rather attractive and nice and heavy duty...), making one for this really cool book which is a pieced together thing containing maps from a whole bunch of different sources, it was really interesting...after that, I came home, screwed around a bit, played some DDR (beat my second ever song on difficulty 8!), then walked over to [livejournal.com profile] saracariad's for singing, but not before I changed into pirate garb (there are pictures. :) ) We all headed over to the movie, arriving at 10, only to find that [livejournal.com profile] dyrecorn, [livejournal.com profile] khaoskitty and [livejournal.com profile] miraeko had been there for over an hour, and were the only other people on line. Poor guys. They let us sit down not long before we got there, and we grabbed out the entire first row for folks we know, though as it turned out not many peope we knew were there. :) It was a lot of fun, a lot of people were dressed up.

The movie itself was interesting. I'm not going to go into any details, but I liked it. My first fear, which was that Will Turner would have a smaller part (as based on the previews, which definitely highlighted Jack) proved to be unfounded, and it was great, he's so good looking! And I LOVE his leather coat thing. Yes, I'm a Will fan. The dreadlock thing just doesn't work for me. :) Then there was Norington...nuff said. Anyway, the movie got off to a slow start; I wasn't really feeling it for the first 45 minutes or so, and I was a little worried. However, it picked up after that, and I ended up rather enjoying it. I could say a lot more, but I won't.

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaah, Orlando Bloom. The only thing he really has going for him in PotC is that his eyebrows match his hair! ^_^

But does the carpet match the curtains?

I'm sure enquiring fangirls (and boys) want to know. ^_-

Yeah, yeah we do. :) I don't think he's sexy when he's blonde, mind you, but when he's all dark haired and goateed? :)

Hmmm, the first thing that popped to mind was a phrase, not a word, sorry. This image should be easy to track down if you know your art history, although I'd never run across this one before somehow.

My art history = nonexistant. Okay, that's not that true. But I don't know anything about art from the last century, at least. :)

Well, if you give up later maybe I can give you a clue! But I bet you can figure it out anyway becuase it should be possible to guess the magic phrase.

I looked around a bit more and realized this painting isn't very well-known compared with others by this (20th century) artist...

I get to see Orlando Bloom tonight with my girl. Too bad she loves him more than she loves me. Leaves me wanting to wish he would drown and shit =P

On another note, I wanna play DDR with the cute girl :)

Ya see, the problem is, even drowning he'd still manage to be hot. It's depressing from a guys point of view, I'm sure.
And I just finished playing more DDR. God I love DDR. (I beat about four more 8's, I guess it's not an achievement any more - my first attempt at a 9 kicked my butt, though. ;) )

once his body starts to rot, if girls still think he's hot, I'll make sure to kick his corpse repeatedly till he looks like me.

Check that shit out $

hehe you can't get much higher than 10, and I'm only at about an 8 or a 9 myself...but then again, I haven't played in a good two years plus now, so I'm horribly outta practice =P

*huggles*

No, I'll agree I don't think I'd find rotting zombie beaten up corpse Orlando Bloom as hot. Though I'm not sure. It'd depend on the make up job, I guess.

...and there's higher than 10????? Scary.

Never been jealous of Orlando Bloom (ok, maybe a little during the famous shirt ripping-off scene from the movie). Instead I'm jealous of Jared Leto and Jude Law. Is that weird??

And speaking of corpses, check out the movie Brazil for one of my favorite movie quotes: "Care for a little necrophilia?"

Ah, shirt being ripped off.........

Anyway, Jude Law isn't bad either. :) I haven't seen Jared Leto in anything (I checked his IMDB list) so I can't say for sure...but it doesn't sound too weird. :) I mean, there are really hot actresses who I don't get jealous off, and others that I do...
