Well, I'm slowly but surely approaching the "no longer ridiculously busy" point, but until then, just a few comments to folk. All of these except the first are questions and such for folk, so please actually read them. ;) ;) If you have any questions/comments related to them that can't be left in LJ, gimme a call for details, etc. My number is 812 327 5880.

-My New Address:
1407 Fenbrook Lane
Bloomington, IN 47401

-Furniture Question: I am looking for a queen sized matress, a couch or two, a coffee table, and some other odds and ends. I intend to check at Goodwill and Furniture Exchange, and, failing those, in the paper and in the student listings on Onestart. However, does anyone have any friends selling stuff like that? Alternatively, anyone know any awesome dumpster diving spots? Please do share! If anyone spots something awesome lying on the side of the road, gimme a call, or just snag it if you can. ;)

-Gencon Question: Gencon is next week! Does anyone need a place to stay in Indy? I have a suite that is currently being shared by myself, [livejournal.com profile] deadmanwade, [livejournal.com profile] eviltophat from Binghamton, and our friends Kevin K. and Jeremy L. also of Binghamton. This room is in the Embassy Suites, which is about two blocks from the Convention Center, and is connected by skyways and various such things such that you don't even need to go outside to get to the convention center. It's a suite with at least two beds. Technically, it's not supposed to have more than 4 people in it, but it's expensive, so I'd like to have a couple more than the 5 we currently have. Those who stay with us would have to accept a bit of room key juggling, and will probably be sleeping on the floor (I'll be sleeping on the floor. ;) ) It's $1000 total, divided by however many people we have. If someone couldn't afford an even share, I'd be more than willing to accept whatever they COULD pay, seeing as any amount still reduces how much each individual has to pay. :)

-Moving Help: Tomorrow I'm packing. I intend to start at about 10 AM at 46D at Knightridge ([livejournal.com profile] deadmanwade, can you please bring the spare key tonight so that I don't necessarily have to wake you up to start?). Any help would be vastly appreciated, and rewarded with food. Even company would be spiffy, if ya don't feel like packing. :)
Then, Monday I'm moving. Once again, I intend to start at about 10 AM at 46D (Though I'll be doing some other moving before then...) and once more, food will be appreciated, as will any vehicular help (I currently have access to a van and a station wagon and potentially a pick up truck.

Thanks everyone!

Re: furniture - You'd have to be careful, but I've seen some decent looking furniture sticking out of the dumpsters outside the University warehouses over on Range Rd. (;

Re: GenCon - I might, at least on Saturday. I'm going to be sitting at [livejournal.com profile] d_c_m's table and possibly riding with her back and forth on Thursday and Friday... but I think she mentioned something about having other plans for Saturday, leaving me on my own.

Re: Moving - Do you need boxes? I've got a few Avon boxes, and they're about the same size as the ones in which paper comes - with lids! They stack like nobody's business.

Furniture - I'll take a look.
Gencon - that'd be great! Just lemme know. :)
Moving - boxes would be awesome. When could I come get them?

Any time! I should be home all evening, but if I have to go out, anywhere, I'll stick 'em outside my door. (:

(I'm in Fountain Park, btw... S-7. Look for the refrigerator magnet poetry on the door.)

I can't help until after work on Monday. That'll be around 1, I guess I'll just call you then.

Bah. I've checked my schedule. Saturday isn't doable for me, and not even for the reasons that I'd initially thought.

Blasted games that I'd committed to.

Anyhow. I'll probably be available to help out on Monday after I get back from work, but likely not before then. Sorry. :-/

Don't worry about Saturday, it's really alright. ;) As for Monday, I hope to be done by evening, but if I'm not I can give you up a call. ;) Either way, thanks much. The thought is awesome. ;)

I am very sorry to say that I currently do not have a car...it has had to go to the service center, alas. Hopefully I will have it by tomorrow afternoon, or Monday at the latest, because my sister is coming tomorrow and on Monday we are traveling to visit out-of-state extended family (assuming the car is running by then).

BUT...I will be happy to drive around with you and look at furniture when we get back, if you are still in the market! I have a hatchback with fold-down seats that can take most not-quite-as-large stuff. And another place you might check for furniture is Long's Landing...it is waaaaay out on east 3rd Street, and they have some nice new and used stuff (and they deliver to Bton)...

Good luck! Sorry I can't be of more immediate help :(

That sounds like fun! If I haven't found anything by then, I'd love to go shopping - though I'll have a car by then, though not a spiffy big one like you with a hatchback and stuff. :) [livejournal.com profile] saracariad will probably want to help me pick the couch and coffee table, but I need a bed frame, and potentially a box spring, and a desk and (though I'll probably get this new) and computer chair. ;) Either way, even if not for furniture shopping, we aughta hang out. ;)

Did you still want my help tomorrow evening? I have to work until five, but I'm free after then. Let me know if you do. I would have asked at the 'lude but I totally forgot what day it was. ^^

Hullo! I am actually looking for GenCon space for possibly Friday and Saturday night. I will be able to contribute some funds for the ability to sleep on the floor! (And maybe bathe myself... MAYBE...)

I am good with guests, well-trained, and know how to paw the door when I need out.
