Random Complaining

3 1/2 hours of sleep + 90+ pages of history reading + 100 or so pages of archiving reading + a 6-8 page paper due at 9:30 AM tomorrow morning that I haven't done any research for yet + 8 hours of work + 2 hours of class = Tuesday is the suck. :)
This has been my random complaining for the day.

In better, more cheerful news, I remembered that when I'm REALLY TIRED, there is actually a single positive benefit - I'm bitchier, more neurotic, and more whiney (can you tell? ;) ), but I also get a great deal more creative for no reason I've ever identified. The practical offshoot of that right now is that I've pretty much worked out a bunch of Changeling backstory I never bothered with before, and I've pretty much decided what I'm going to wear to the next game (but I'm not telling - not that it's all that special, but it'll be more fun if it's a surprise any way. ;) )

Edit: And, on another positive note, a whole lot of you get to tell me that you "told me so" in regards to 1000 calories being too few. It did work before, but at my current level of exercise, well...I've been bad and eaten too much the last three days (more than 1200 I had planned to raise too...) ...and I've lost three pounds. It's surreal. :) So yeah. I'm gonna eat more. It's gonna be nice. Anyway, to work!

Yay for eating more! :)

My creativity always goes up when I'm stressed, too; I think it's my mind's way of trying to distract me from the suck. Although it could be my procrastinational tendencies kicking in too...

Good luck with all your stuff!

See, it's more than just stress - though stress does help my imagination. It's specifically being so tired I can't think straight. And I think it's just that - I'm more creative when I can't think straight. It makes some kind of sense, really. I just wish it was an effect I could duplicate without having to be otherwise miserable.

If we assume that you actually are burning 600 calories every hour you play DDR (which seems insane, but still :P), then you can bump up to 1500 and still lose a pound or so a week. Your body won't let you do stupid things to it :)

Good luck

Well, sadly, I don't do that much DDR every day - I don't have the time some days, and the work out isn't always that intense. :) Still, I don't want to go up to 1500, I want to lose weight a bit faster than that. I'm planning on 1200 - 1300. :)

Told you so :) At least I think I said that sometime this summer, at least in reference to the need to eat breakfast!

It probably also helps that you're now doing wild horse riding and crazy dance lessons in addition to crazy level 9 DDR!

In related health news, Alia challenged me to buy only foods without high fructose corn syrup on my next trip to the grocery store. Wow, that was difficult. Who would'a thought that would be the 3rd ingredient (after flour and water) in the 100% natural whole wheat, whole grain bread I initially picked out! Finally, after much searching, I found some "organic" HFCS-free wheat bread.

Wow. That sounds hard. I'm glad I only count calories...

And I did give permission to point at me and say "I told you so"'s...sigh....the crazy dance lessons are a lot of fun, too. And I have been trying to eat breakfast, though I still don't always. (I completely fricken forgot this morning, I felt really dumb.)

But look at the bright side--we figured out what was wrong with the cupcakes.

And i still think they had really good icing.

[identity profile] unforth.livejournal.com 2006-09-20 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
That icing is the bestest. It's a standard one, but it's neat-o. :) I always use it when I make things that need icing. :)
