Christmas Time Planning

Well, I called the school I really want to go to (the one in Boston) about setting up a time when I can go and visit, and they could only have me on the 18th or 19th of December, which means that my decision on when to go home has been made for me (I'd been trying to decide if I wanted to be in Bloomington on my birthday...oh well...)

I will be in New York from the 18th until the 26th of December. I will apparently be in Boston on the 19th, at least at noon, which is when my visit is. Because I'll be renting a car to get to Boston, I'll probably go directly from Boston to Binghamton and hang out in Binghamton for a day or so (if I arrive the evening of the 19th, I'll probably leave the next evening.) I expect I'll spend the 26th with my dad, and then leave in the evening. That's the tentative plan, anyway (I'm about to go and buy airline tickets...)

I'd like to see ultima_baka, bakanekotoo and claireon while I'm in New York...if any of you are reading this, we should set something up!

I'd like to see xaniquen, mistress_sin and eviltophat while in Binghamton...if any of you are reading this, lemme know your schedules! (I'll probably have to call the Top Hat, sigh... :) )

I lived in Boston for about six years and I love it passionately, tips to toes! It's hella expensive though, not just because rent is about double of what Bloomington charges for commensurate apartments, but because the tax rate is totally vicious.

Where will you be staying in Boston?

I won't actually be staying there; I'll drive in, do my tour thing, and then drive back to NYC (where I'm from, and can stay with my mom)

The school is on North Bennet Street, I think...kniedzw told me it was a nice (and relatively inexpensive) neighborhood...I don't know anything about Boston at all! :)
