Plagarism

So I just discovered a case of plagarism between two of the books I'm doing research in. One of them completely copies most of a paragraph word for word (it's a list, but still) without changing the order or anything, without the use of quotation marks. The book that's been taken from is credited in the bibliography, but no other indication is given.

Wow.

This is why we use footnotes/end notes, people...

Drag that little ^()(*&^ into the office and give them what for!! And then write them up and tell their advisor and give them an F!

Oooops! Sorry. Previous paragraph brought to you by Serious Teacher Mode. :)

And like wow.

Even footnoting/endnoting sources doesn't excuse lifting paragraphs, iirc. A crying shame when scholars can't give credit where it's due.
