Quick Update

Done with classes for the semester, yay!

3 papers and 1 final exam left. Goal: Finish two of the papers by Monday, then study for the exam, try to be done with everything by Wednesday night. May not succeed. (things due: this Friday, next Wednesday, next Friday)

Need to remember to get a kennel for the dog.

Wish I could do the music meme, it's fun, but my mp3's are on the system that doesn't work. :(

When did I start thinking of 9:30 as sleeping in?

Congratulations on finishing up classes for the semester!!!! And good luck with the papers :)

If you find a kennel for Jonie, let me know. ...I spent a couple of hours on the phone Monday trying to find one for Cody, and everything I called was booked solid through Christmas. :(

Although I didn't call Canine Companions, because I've heard negative things about them from several people.

Aaargh! I was afraid of that...I may have to try to find a sitter instead, cause the only good place I knew of was Barking Buddies, but if you've been calling around then I'm sure you tried them, and that means that they are full...

Yep, Barkn Buddies was in fact the first place I called. It's never a good sign when you ask "Do you have anything open for Christmas?" and they start laughing.

We're on a waiting list at our vet's, and we are also going to take Cody over to my old boss's house and see if he gets along with her dogs. If he does, she says she can take care of him while we are gone. But if he doesn't, my dad has reservations at a kennel in North Carolina. I am waiting to make a 100% commitment to coming out there until my parents have checked out the kennel in person, because I'm suspicious as to why the kennel not only has an opening but apparently had no problem getting him in. But I am not really thrilled in any case about having to take my dog on a 10 hour car ride and then put him in a strange kennel in a strange city just because Mom's little yap dogs are too ill-tempered to have him around, even if he stays in the garage. *sigh*

Anyway, long story short, good luck with finding Jonie accomodations!...

Thanks. :( I don't have high hopes...I need to find a dogsitter. Worst to worst, miraeko has told me she can do it, but then Jonie will have to stay at my place...alone...which I fear would be a recipe for disaster - I'd have to do extensive dog proofing of my room before this would be safe...

9:30 is soooo sleeping in...I wake up at 6am every day, and would kill for a nice extra three hours :)

And you can get the mp3s off the busted machine if you're willing to spend 40 bucks or so on a nice hard drive enclosure. I would like to see what your meme looks like :)

It's not that, the hard drive is currently in Columbus, OH, being put into a new computer. I'll have it back, but not until after Christmas. :( Maybe I'll do the meme then...
