My new lease starts on December 1st; my old lease ends on December 31st - so I've got a month to pack everything and such. I'll probably move my stuff in right around the middle of the month - I want to paint and such - but depending it may be earlier; of course, if I wait too long it'll get bumped to after Christmas, but I'd like to be set before then if possible.

It's not so very far - about a mile and a half. :) The neighborhood I'll be living in is a bit more built up than that area, though (in my experience).

And I'm definitely excited that if I want to I can now walk to New Jersey. :)

In NYC it's damn hard, especially if one is strongly attached (as I am, having been raised there) to the island of Manhattan. Better than an ability to afford my new place, I will in fact have some money to spare....yay!
