Introspective Babbling
Feb. 2nd, 2006 12:34 pmAs I was standing at the bus stop today in the cold and the rain for more than 5 minutes, I got to thinking. A couple of years ago, standing in the cold and the rain would have seriously depressed me. It would have ruined my day. I would have spent considerable time complaining about it for at least the rest of the day, and probably a chunk of the next day. And I stood there today, I jacked the music up on my CD player, belted out They Might Be Giants, and practiced belly dancing. I had the hood up on my coat, but it was annoying me, so I flipped it back and let my hair get rained on. I got kind of wet, my hands were sort of cold, and I was perfectly fine about it. It's strange to see how much I've changed. It's nice to realize that I'm pretty much happy with my life right now. And I like that I've become the sort of person who can be cheerful even on a rainy day.
This has been your introspective babbling for today. I should probably get to class now.
My hair will be black by the end of the day...(please wash out quickly, please wash out quickly...)
Oh, and this is a new one for me, but, uh, Happy Imbolc...
